Here we are again. New Semester, who this?

It seems it only takes a summer and some time off to get a new perspective on life and how group projects can work. I am happy to say, that communication is definitely important for such things. But it has to be honest, from both sides. Some real talk, and expressing both sides of an argument or conflict, without losing our heads can really help soften the stress that comes with making an animated short. Safe to say, we’re growing as a team and I am enjoying the progress… Finally!

As for what I have been up to this time around? Well, I’m the sole modeler on the team. Not the pressure I was expecting for the second semester, but I didn’t exactly want to just sit around and be a cheerleader either. So, I am happy to have a job and be helping the team. As for the projects, they’re mostly background stuff, but set dressing is important to the overall look of a story. I can’t complain too much. Besides, after I make some bushes and grass, I get to start really turning up the swampiness of our Bayou scene. Pretty excited to have almost unfettered access to set dress the whole place. Although, I can’t move certain key items, it will be nice to be able to just go hog wild on giving the scene life. After that, it’s lighting time!

Anyway, that’s the short and the short of it all. Until next time!
